Veden\u00fd Petrom Tuthillom z University of Sydney, ktor\u00fd so svojimi kolegami prv\u00fdkr\u00e1t navrhol Toliman koncept spred nieko\u013ek\u00fdch rokov. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Teleskop u\u017e predt\u00fdm z\u00edskal podporu od Laborat\u00f3ria pr\u00fadov\u00e9ho pohonu NASA, firmy Saber Astronautics v Austr\u00e1lii a kalifornskej organiz\u00e1cie Breakthrough Initiatives, financovanej technologick\u00fdm miliard\u00e1rom Yuri Milnerom.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h1>Proxima Centauri, Yuri Milner<\/h1>\n<p>Mal\u00fd teleskop ve\u013ekosti \u0161katule od top\u00e1nok je navrhnut\u00fd s konkr\u00e9tnym cie\u013eom: h\u013eada\u0165 plan\u00e9ty v syst\u00e9me Alpha Centauri, konkr\u00e9tne ak\u00fako\u013evek v jeho ob\u00fdvate\u013enej z\u00f3ne, v oblasti ohriatej hviezdami, v ktorej by mohla tekut\u00e1 voda pretrv\u00e1va\u0165 na skalnatom povrchu sveta. Urob\u00ed to sp\u00f4sobom, ktor\u00e9mu sa zatia\u013e \u017eiadny in\u00fd teleskop nevyrovn\u00e1. <\/p>\n<p>Cie\u013eom je dokon\u010di\u0165 a vypusti\u0165 teleskop na obe\u017en\u00fa dr\u00e1hu Zeme do roku 2023, pripraven\u00fd na za\u010datie h\u013eadania z vesm\u00edru. \u201eToto ozn\u00e1menie je fantastick\u00e9,\u201c hovor\u00ed Sara Seager z Massachusettsk\u00e9ho technologick\u00e9ho in\u0161tit\u00fatu, lovec plan\u00e9t, ktor\u00fd nie je zapojen\u00fd do projektu.<\/p>\n<p>Na n\u00e1jdenie plan\u00e9t Alpha Centauri sa vynalo\u017eilo ve\u013ea \u00fasilia s r\u00f4znou mierou \u00faspechu. V roku 2012 si vedci mysleli, \u017ee na\u0161li plan\u00e9tu obiehaj\u00facu okolo Alpha Centauri B, nazvan\u00fa Alpha Centauri Bb, ale v roku 2015 in\u00ed v\u00fdskumn\u00edci zdanlivo vyl\u00fa\u010dili existenciu plan\u00e9ty. Vy\u0161etrovanie <em>Proximy Centauri sa uk\u00e1zalo by\u0165 plodnej\u0161ie <\/em>a odhalilo svet pravdepodobne ve\u013ekosti Zeme naz\u00fdvan\u00fd Proxima b, zatia\u013e \u010do \u010fal\u0161ia plan\u00e9ta \u2013 Proxima c \u2013 bola tie\u017e nazna\u010den\u00e1. <\/p>\n<p>Toliman, starovek\u00e9 arabsk\u00e9 meno pre Alpha Centauri, ktor\u00e9 v\u0161ak znamen\u00e1 aj Telescope for Orbital Locus Interferometric Monitoring of our Astronomical Neighborhood, je navrhnut\u00fd na lov plan\u00e9t okolo Alpha Centauri A a B. \u010casti teleskopu s\u00fa \u201eu\u017e na z\u00e1klade zmluvy\u201c pre v\u00fdstavbu, hovor\u00ed Tuthill, zatia\u013e \u010do predchodca misie na testovanie technol\u00f3gie s n\u00e1zvom Toliboy bol vypusten\u00fd za\u010diatkom tohto roka na satelite CUAVA-1k Medzin\u00e1rodnej vesm\u00edrnej stanici. <\/p>\n<p>Na univerzite v Sydney prebieha laborat\u00f3rne testovanie a simula\u010dn\u00e9 pr\u00e1ce na technol\u00f3gi\u00e1ch pre Tolimana, hovor\u00ed Tuthill, pri\u010dom t\u00edm teraz pracuje na plnohodnotnom prototype.
